In this installment of the Detroit Worldwide Podcast, Marquis connects with longtime TV and radio personality, Cortney Hicks about her extensive career in media and how she's been able to adapt to times.

Cortney also discusses her successful stint as a morning co-host on Detroit's premier radio station, FM 98 WJLB where she working alongside the legendary John Mason during the late 90s and early 2000s.

About Cortney:

Raised in Detroit MI, Cortney Hicks has enjoyed a successful career that spans nearly 30 years.

A graduate of Michigan State University, Cortney's career in media began she served as a radio personality for WQHH in Lansing, MI.

In 1995 while completing her Communication studies at MSU, Cortney accepted an opportunity to join the WEJM staff as the new Midday Host in Chicago, the third largest radio market in the country.

After a very successful three year run she was invited to return home and serve as Co-Host for the legendary Mason & Company Morning Show on WJLB from 1997-2000.

Her career has taken her to a multitude of places including Charlotte, NC, Washington DC, and Chicago IL.

She currently serves as a news anchor for WFXG Fox54 in Augusta, GA.
